Course Content
Course Overview
DTA offers all three IPAF Harness modules. These courses complement IPAF Operator training and provide a 5-year IPAF certification for safe harness use, fitting, and inspection.
Courses can be taken individually or combined depending on your role and responsibilities.
IPAF Harness Course Level: Harness Awareness
Theory-only introduction to harness use & PFPE selection
This online module covers the essential knowledge required to choose, check, and use harness equipment correctly when operating MEWPs.
IPAF Harness Course Level: Harness User
Practical assessment of correct fitting & adjustment
This module is completed after the Harness Awareness course and confirms that the learner can correctly wear, adjust, and use a full-body harness.
IPAF Harness Course Level: Harness Inspection
Training for formal PFPE inspections
This module provides the knowledge required to inspect and certify harnesses, lanyards, and other fall arrest equipment.
It can be taken on its own (if Awareness & User have already been completed) or combined with all three modules in a single full-day session.
Certification
Learners receive a 5 year IPAF certification.
